Amrican Spirits...Why?

An intelligent question indeed. Most people who spy my pack ask what? why? And my answer is simple. "Well they are fair trade, 100% natural and additive free." But let's delve a bit deeper into the reasons for smoking Spirits over every other brand out there.

-First off, they are grown on US soil by US farmers. Keepin' it local, at least keepin' it less than global.

-Second off, the lungs suffer much less. Switching to a Camel Menthol Light pack for a day will result in unnecessary pain.

-Third, they burn longer and are made with 100% whole leaf natural tobacco.

-Fourth, they are tobacco as tobacco was meant to be smoked. With no other bull shit (note list of bull shit below).

-Fifth, sustainable environmental practices and Earth friendly farming (the Santa Fe farm collective is run from 100% sustainable green power).

-Fifth, (And the kicker):

Here's a list of additives the US government has approved for use in cigarette sales in the US (note American Spirit contains NONE of the following additives):

Yeah, I stopped reading at about Amyl Formate, point made?

Smoke American Spirits and smoke tobacco as it was meant to be smoked, naturally. At $6.00 US dollars a pack that extra dollar goes a long way.

Check out American Spirits here: NASCIGS.COM
The local establishment that carries the most complete Spirit lineup is Happy Times on Sunrise Highway.

Cheers and happy smoking.

NYE 2008 - The Push Stars Reunite

About one year ago, (NYE 2007 that is) I saw Chris Trapper and The Push Stars reunion show at The Paradise Lounge (Commonwealth Ave. - Boston, MA). We welcomed in the New year with Keg On My Coffin and a champagne toast that included Trapper's whole family, the wife, the kids, the parents. It was magic as only a Trapper show can be magic. Last year we rolled deep with about 20 good friends at the show, this year were planning a smaller crowd but still guaranteeing a magical evening. Tickets are $40.00 US dollars which includes the toast and the event is 21+.

Ticket info is here: NYE2008
Check out Trapper here: ChrisTrapper.com
Check out The Push Stars here: PushStars.com

I'll see you bitches there.

Man V. Wild

Bear Grylls, w h a t a guy.

Man Vs. Wild. Is there anything hotter/more masculine than a man eating raw zebra flesh with his teeth? I come up dry. Well perhaps a man who also summited Everest in his life, AND has no qualms about eating raw zebra flesh with his teeth. Go ahead Bear, cross it off your to do list. Catch the Man Vs. Wild marathon today on The Discovery Channel (if you miss the marathon check out the Discovery Channel on Friday's for the regular airings.) And check out my future husbands' website here: BearGrylls.com

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Some people find my excitement overwhelming. They somehow don't think a film is worth getting excited over. Well perhaps they should open their eyes. Please see Sweeney Todd, as if I have to tell you. Johnny Depp, Tim Burton, Stephen Sondheim, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman, AND Sacha Baron Cohen. What a collaboration, and how could any respectable film-goer miss it? Throughout the film I experienced 5 different moments of cinematic ecstasy. (It's something like the tablets only induced by a film-maker, not a backwoods trailer park drug production company.) I wanted to clap, I wanted to scream, but most of all I wanted to burst, this movie felt so damn good. Scratch that, this is no movie; it's a perfectly orchestrated masterpiece of cinematic mastery, with Tim Burton as your host.
Take a look at the trailer, and see it. That is all.

(The photo credit is not mine, obviously, I think Tim Burton gets credit?)

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Trailer of Fleet Street

Did I mention it's a musical? Did I mention that you should see it? Good. that is all.
